The Cincinnatti Kid
Set in New Orleans, this superbly cast (a. o. Edward G Robinson, Karl Malden, Tuesday Weld, Rip Torn) drama never quite hit the mark. Steve McQueen is the Kid who challenges the Man (Robinson) for the title as the best stud poker player in the world.
A-M is excellent, with a southern drawl, as the greedy, wanton wife of the Kid's best friend (Malden), who cheats at everything, even doing a puzzle.
This film was originally to be directed by Sam Peckinpah, who got fired after he put in a nude scene featuring one of the extras.
The extra was none other than Sharon Tate, who disappeared along with Peckinpah.
